Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off at City Hall

The City of New Braunfels is offering a Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off event on Saturday, February 21, 2026, providing City of New Braunfels and Comal County residents with a safe and convenient way to dispose of hazardous household materials. The drop off will take place from 8 am to 12 pm, with the last car in line at noon being the final vehicle assisted.
Household hazardous waste includes toxic, reactive, ignitable, or corrosive products commonly found in homes, such as herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, pool chlorine, drain and oven cleaners, gasoline, lighter fluid, paint thinner, stains, laundry bleach, automotive fluids, oil filters, paint, and lead-acid batteries. Mixed products, commercial or business waste, and trailer loads will not be accepted in order to keep wait times manageable.
Residents are asked to keep products separate and not mix chemicals, bring items in original containers when possible, and ensure all containers are sealed and clearly labeled. Liquid materials must be in containers of five gallons or less. A state-issued photo ID is required, and all items should be transported in a trunk or truck bed.
Participants must enter from Laurel Lane, where the line will form before continuing up Laurel Lane and turning left on Wood Road toward Clearfield Drive. The event is free for City of New Braunfels and Comal County residents and will be held at City Hall, located at 550 Landa Street, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
