27th Annual Fun Fish at Canyon Park

The 27th Annual Fun Fish returns to Canyon Park with a full day of outdoor activities centered around fishing, learning, and family-friendly fun. This free event is designed for children ages 3 to 16 and offers a welcoming introduction to fishing and aquatic education in a safe, engaging environment.

Hosted by WORD, Fun Fish takes place on Saturday, February 28, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Canyon Park, located at 1769 Canyon Park Road in Canyon Lake, Texas. Children can enjoy free fishing without a license requirement for those under 17, with rainbow trout stocked in a contained area of Canyon Lake. The event also features stocked fish tanks, kid-friendly aquatic touch stations, educational games led by partner organizations, and loaner fishing gear available while supplies last.

Throughout the day, participants can take part in a Biggest Fish competition, tagged fish prize opportunities, and a bingo card raffle, with giveaways that may include T-shirts, medals, and lunch options while supplies last. Fun Fish offers a unique opportunity for families to spend the day outdoors learning about fishing, aquatic life, and conservation in a relaxed and festive setting.
