Jay Boy Adams at The Redbird Listening Room

Texas music veteran Jay Boy Adams brings an evening of stories and songs to The Redbird Listening Room on July 18 at 7:30 pm. With a career spanning decades, Adams has earned a respected place in Texas music history through his songwriting, live performances, and collaborations with some of the industry’s most notable artists.
After beginning his career in Texas bands and performing with blues musician Johnny Heartsman, Adams gained wider recognition when he became the regular opening act for ZZ Top in the early 1970s. Over the years, he shared stages with renowned performers including The Allman Brothers Band, Joe Cocker, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, The Kinks, and many others. Following a lengthy break from music, Adams returned to performing and songwriting, later appearing at major events such as the Kerrville Folk Festival and touring with The Texas Tornados.
Guests can expect an intimate performance filled with personal stories, memorable songs, and reflections from a remarkable career in music. The listening room setting offers a unique opportunity to experience Adams’ artistry up close in an environment dedicated to live songwriting and acoustic performance.
The event will take place at The Redbird Listening Room, located at 1260 Elliot Knox Boulevard, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
Tickets are $30 per person. Guests may bring their own beverages for a $10 fee per group. Ramblers, soft drinks, coffee, and Redbird Charcuterie Plates from Huisache Grill will also be available for purchase.
