The Merles at Krause’s Cafe

Krause’s Cafe presents The Merles on Friday, October 2, from 6 to 9 pm. Based in Austin, the classic country band features singer/songwriter Todd Deatherage, drummer Matt Winegardner, and pedal steel player Mike Simms.
The Merles draw inspiration from traditional country music, with influences including Hank Williams, Ray Price, Lefty Frizzell, George Strait, and Merle Haggard. Their danceable songs and catchy choruses have earned them a following at honky-tonks and bars throughout Texas, where they perform more than 120 shows a year.
The band has also shared stages with artists including Dale Watson, Johnny Bush, Jason Boland, Bri Bagwell, Jason Eady, and Rosie Flores.
