2026 Thru the Chute Presented by Legacy Home Services at City Tube Chute

2026 Thru the Chute Presented by Legacy Home Services brings one of New Braunfels’ most exciting and unique traditions back to the City Tube Chute on Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning at 10 am. This annual cardboard boat challenge features teams launching their handmade vessels down the chute while spectators cheer them on.

This year’s in-person spectator tickets have already sold out, reflecting the event’s growing popularity. Those who were unable to secure tickets can still enjoy the action through live streams and watch parties hosted at locations throughout the city, including Float In, Krause’s Cafe, Scores Sports Bar, The Courthouse, and more.

Participants compete in a variety of divisions, including Community Crews for nonprofits, schools, and individuals, and Corporate/Sponsored entries for businesses and branded teams. While all divisions are currently full, teams may still join the waitlist.
