24th Annual Gruene Pony Express Ride at Gruene Historic District

The 24th Annual Gruene Pony Express Ride brings a beloved Texas tradition to the heart of Gruene Historic District. At 10 am, a Pony Express rider from the Heritage Trail Ride Association of New Braunfels will arrive carrying a special “Christmas Greetings” message from the Governor of Texas. This longstanding event celebrates the spirit of the season and the heritage of the historic Pony Express.

A temporary Post Office will be set up next to Gruene Outfitters, where visitors can have their Christmas cards stamped with the official commemorative Gruene cancellation mark. Guests are encouraged to bring their holiday mail to take part in this unique and festive tradition.
