A Different Thread at Unitarian Universalists of New Braunfels

International folk-Americana duo A Different Thread returns to New Braunfels on May 15 at 5:30 pm during their Over Again album release tour. Formed after Alicia Best and Robert Jackson met while busking in Ireland, the duo has spent the past decade touring internationally and developing a sound that blends British folk rock with North Carolina-inspired alt-country influences.

Their music combines electric guitars, Appalachian dulcimer, fiddle, and harmony-driven songwriting shaped by experiences traveling across countries, living on the road, and navigating life between cultures. The duo’s latest album, Over Again, explores themes of transformation, renewal, and hope while continuing the storytelling style that has earned praise from folk and Americana audiences worldwide.
