African Penguin Protectors by The KruShan Foundation at New Braunfels Public Library

Discover the remarkable story of South Africa’s endangered penguins in this educational program presented by The KruShan Foundation. Based in Wimberley, Texas, the organization is dedicated to raising awareness and supporting conservation efforts for the African Penguin, a species many are surprised to learn exists—and is critically endangered.

This engaging 45-minute session will explore who African Penguins are, the history of their decline, and what organizations like The KruShan Foundation are doing to protect them. Attendees will learn about the foundation’s mission, real-life penguin survival stories, and the urgency of their campaign, #NotBy2035. A Q&A session will follow the presentation for those interested in diving deeper into the topic.
