BBI – New Braunfels’ Very Own Backyard Team Roping at Bar J Productions

A long-standing local tradition returns with the 22nd Annual Barry’s Barn Invitational (BBI) on May 9 from 11 am to 10 pm in New Braunfels. Hosted by Bar J Productions, this community-favorite event brings together ropers, families, and spectators for a full day of competition, barbecue, and outdoor fun.

The first roping kicks off at 12 pm, with books opening at 11 am. Events throughout the day include multiple divisions such as the 12 Slide, #10, and #7 ropings, along with an Up & Back competition. Participants can compete for buckles awarded to top finishers across divisions and averages. Cash entry is required, and all competitors must have a negative Coggins.

Spectators are welcome to attend for free and are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the outdoor arena setting. Food will be available on-site, including offerings from Emilio’s BBQ.
