Bernie Nelson at The Redbird Listening Room

An evening of stories and songs comes to The Redbird Listening Room as Bernie Nelson performs on April 11, 2026, at 7:30 pm. The performance highlights Nelson’s decades of songwriting and storytelling in an intimate listening-room setting.
A respected figure on Nashville’s Music Row for more than 30 years, Nelson has written songs that have sold more than 30 million copies. His work has been recorded by artists including Randy Travis, Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney, Conway Twitty, John Anderson, Neal McCoy, and Pam Tillis. His song “Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind,” recorded by Confederate Railroad, became a chart-topping hit and remains a country radio staple with millions of airplays. After moving to the Texas Hill Country, Nelson also found success on the Texas music charts with songs recorded by artists such as Kyle Park, Kin Faux, and Case Hardin.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to the show. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages, with a $10 fee per group. The venue also offers Ramblers, sodas, coffee, and Redbird Charcuterie Plates from Huisache Grill.
