Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre

Fat Tuesday takes on a high-energy swing soundtrack as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy returns to the Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre for a night of bold brass, infectious rhythms, and Mardi Gras-inspired celebration. For more than 30 years, the band has been a driving force behind America’s swing revival, blending classic jazz, swing, and Dixieland influences with modern energy and unmistakable showmanship.

Formed in the early 1990s in Ventura, California, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy rose to national prominence following their breakout appearance in the film Swingers. Their momentum continued with performances on the Super Bowl Halftime Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Dancing With the Stars, and contributions to numerous film and television soundtracks. With over 3,000 live performances, 11 albums, and a global fan base, the band remains known for its powerhouse horn section, original music, and lively stage presence.

This Fat Tuesday concert takes place on Tuesday, February 17, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, offering audiences in New Braunfels a chance to experience the band’s signature sound in a festive, high-spirited setting.
