Cavern Bat Fest in October at Natural Bridge Caverns
An event every week that begins at 12:00 am on Sunday and Saturday, repeating until November 1, 2026
Cavern Bat Fest takes place every weekend in October at Natural Bridge Caverns, beginning October 3–4 and continuing October 10–11, October 17–18, October 24–25, and October 31–November 1. The seasonal celebration features family-friendly activities, live local music, photo opportunities, yard games, and attractions throughout the park.
Free activities include a mini hay maze for children, activity stations, Dress a Scarecrow, a bat scavenger hunt, coloring pages, fall and bat-themed photo opportunities, and admission to the AMAZEn’ Ranch Round-Up for guests wearing a family-friendly costume. Free trick-or-treating will also take place Saturday, October 31, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Cavern Tours, Twisted Trails Zip Rails and Ropes Course, and Gem Panning are open daily, with tickets available for purchase separately. Parking is $10 per day.
Costumes must be appropriate for a family-oriented environment. Costume guidelines vary by age, and Natural Bridge Caverns reserves the right to approve costumes before park entry. The event takes place at Natural Bridge Caverns, 26495 Natural Bridge Caverns Rd., San Antonio.
