A heartfelt story of love and hope unfolds at Circle Arts Theatre with Dear Jack, Dear Louise, running from August 14 through August 23, 2026. Written by award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig, the play tells a World War II-era romance through letters exchanged between U.S. Army Captain Jack Ludwig, a military doctor stationed in Oregon, and Louise Rabiner, an aspiring actress and dancer living in New York City. As the war continues, distance and uncertainty test their growing connection, creating a tender and uplifting story rooted in real life. The play is inspired by the true courtship of Ludwig’s parents and offers an intimate look at love during uncertain times.
Performances are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, with Sunday matinees at 2 pm. The production delivers a warm, feel-good theatre experience that balances humor, emotion, and historical context.
The show takes place at Circle Arts Theatre, located at 124 Elizabeth St, New Braunfels, TX 78130.
