Downtown Lighting & Santa’s Arrival at Main Plaza

Downtown New Braunfels will shine bright as the holiday season officially begins with the Downtown Lighting & Santa’s Arrival at Main Plaza. This beloved community celebration features festive entertainment, dazzling lights, and a magical visit from Santa Claus himself. The evening begins at 5:45 pm with performances by the American Dance Co. and holiday music from the New Braunfels Community Band. At 6:30 pm, Mayor Neal Linnartz will lead the countdown to light up downtown, transforming Main Plaza into a sparkling holiday wonderland.

After the lights come on, Santa will make his grand entrance from the balcony of the Comal County Courthouse, then be available for free photos near the courthouse until 8:30 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their own cameras or phones to capture the moment.

The event will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Main Plaza in downtown New Braunfels, TX. Admission is free. A complimentary shuttle will run from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm between City Hall (550 Landa St) and West Mill Street, and free parking is available throughout downtown. The New Braunfels Downtown Association will also be selling hot chocolate, sausage on a stick, and light snacks near the Bandstand on South Seguin Avenue.
