July 24 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Ezra Charles at The Redbird Listening Room

Veteran Texas musician and pianist Ezra Charles brings an evening of stories and songs to The Redbird Listening Room on July 24 at 7:30 pm. With a career spanning more than three decades, Charles has earned a reputation as one of Texas’ most accomplished keyboard players, blending blues, rock, and roots music with engaging storytelling and exceptional musicianship.

A six-time winner of the Houston Press Readers’ Poll for Best Keyboards and recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the San Antonio Blues Society, Charles has been a fixture on the Texas music scene since his teenage years. His musical journey began in Beaumont with Johnny and the Jammers, the first band organized by legendary brothers Johnny and Edgar Winter. He later formed Thursday’s Children while attending Rice University, performing alongside many notable acts of the era.

Guests can enjoy an intimate performance featuring songs, stories, and reflections from a remarkable career in Texas music. The listening room environment offers a unique opportunity to experience Charles’ artistry up close in a setting dedicated to live songwriting and performance.

The event will take place at The Redbird Listening Room, located at 1260 Elliot Knox Boulevard, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

Tickets are $35 per person. Guests may bring their own beverages for a $10 fee per group. Ramblers, soft drinks, coffee, and Redbird Charcuterie Plates from Huisache Grill will also be available for purchase.
