Fiction Book Group at New Braunfels Public Library

Fiction Book Group offers a welcoming space for readers to come together and share thoughts on a selected title each month. The April meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 2 pm to 3 pm and will feature a discussion of Falling Apart and Other Gifts from the Universe by Catherine Ryan Hyde.

This novel follows Addie Finch, a retired army veteran and security guard navigating loneliness, recovery, and a strained relationship with her son. When she encounters Jonathan, a homeless teenager in need of help, the two form an unexpected bond that grows into a powerful story of healing, trust, and chosen family. As they each confront their pasts, their connection offers a path toward hope and redemption.

The group enjoys lively discussions and explores a wide range of books and themes selected by its members. Participants are welcome to attend even if they have not finished the book.
