First Open Oktoberfest Season Practice at First Protestant Church

The First Open Oktoberfest Season Practice takes place on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm at First Protestant Church. Children in prekindergarten 4 through 12th grade are invited to participate in free German folk dance practices in preparation for performances at the Comal County Fair, Wurstfest, Fredericksburg Oktoberfest, and other community events. Practice sessions are divided by age group, with classes scheduled from 6 pm to 6:30 pm for prekindergarten through 1st grade, 6:30 pm to 7 pm for 1st through 3rd grade, and 7 pm to 8 pm for 3rd through 12th grade. Participants are expected to provide their own traditional German attire, with lederhosen for boys and dirndls for girls.
