Harfmann Duo at Krause’s Cafe

Krause’s Cafe welcomes the Harfmann Duo on Sunday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Led by Walt Harfmann, a musician born on the mostly German south side of St. Louis, the duo brings a rich tradition of European folk music to the stage. Harfmann has performed alongside Grammy-winning polka legends Frank Yankovic and Walter Ostanek, as well as numerous other polka leaders across the United States.

The performance features a lively mix of German, Austrian, Czech, Slovenian, Croatian and Swiss music, including polkas, waltzes, kolos and boarischers. Drawing on his extensive travels throughout Europe, Harfmann also shares historic European songs that celebrate the region’s musical heritage.
