Harfmann Duo at Krause’s Cafe

Experience a lively mix of traditional European sounds with the Harfmann Duo at Krause’s Cafe on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm. Walt Harfmann, originally from the German-influenced south side of St. Louis, brings decades of experience performing alongside some of the most celebrated names in polka, including Grammy winners Frank Yankovic and Walter Ostanek.

The Harfmann Duo’s performance features a vibrant blend of German, Austrian, Czech, Slovenian, Croatian, and Swiss tunes—ranging from polkas and waltzes to kolos and boarischers. Drawing inspiration from extensive travels across Europe, Harfmann incorporates historic melodies that capture the spirit of Old World charm and festivity.
