Gruene wraps up a day of festive holiday celebrations with its beloved Gruene Town Lighting, a cherished tradition that brings the community together in the heart of the historic district. The evening begins at 5 pm with a lively brass band street performance that fills the air with classic holiday tunes. As dusk settles, the magic continues at 6 pm when Cowboy Kringle rides into town on horseback, making his grand entrance before handing out candy canes to children gathered along the streets.

This festive tradition captures the warmth and charm of a Hill Country Christmas, offering families and visitors a memorable way to celebrate the season. Admission is free.
