Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off at New Braunfels City Hall

A community collection event for safe disposal of household hazardous waste takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 8 am to 12 pm. Hosted by the City of New Braunfels, this free event provides residents with a responsible way to dispose of potentially harmful materials.

Accepted items include common household chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, pool chlorine, drain and oven cleaners, as well as paint, automotive fluids, oil filters, and lead-acid batteries. Items should be brought in original, sealed, and labeled containers whenever possible, with liquids limited to containers of five gallons or less.

The event is open to City of New Braunfels and Comal County residents only, and a valid state-issued photo ID is required. Commercial or business waste, mixed products, and trailer loads will not be accepted.

Participants should enter from Laurel Lane, where the line will form and continue through the designated route. Vehicles arriving before noon will be assisted, with the last car in line at that time being the final one accepted.

The drop-off takes place at 550 Landa Street in New Braunfels and is free of charge for eligible residents.
