Paws to Read at New Braunfels Library

Children are invited to strengthen their reading skills in a welcoming and relaxed environment by reading aloud to trained therapy animals. Paws to Read offers young readers a unique opportunity to build fluency, confidence, and comprehension while enjoying the company of gentle, furry listeners.

Each child typically spends about 10 minutes reading to one or more therapy animal teams. The program encourages a love of reading in a calm setting that makes learning fun and stress-free.

The event takes place on June 6, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the New Braunfels Public Library, 700 E. Common St., New Braunfels, TX 78130. This program is free and ideal for children who are learning to read or looking to improve their reading skills.
