PAWS to Read at New Braunfels Public Library

Young readers can build confidence and practice their reading skills during PAWS to Read at the New Braunfels Public Library. This family-friendly program gives children the opportunity to read aloud to therapy animals in a calm and encouraging environment.
Reading to therapy animals can help children feel more comfortable while practicing literacy skills, improving fluency, and developing a positive connection with reading. The relaxed setting is designed to make reading fun and enjoyable for children of all ages.
PAWS to Read will take place on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 4 pm to 5 pm in the Main Library Meeting Room at the New Braunfels Public Library Main Branch, located at 700 E Common St, New Braunfels, TX 78130. The program is open to all ages, including early childhood and early elementary participants.
