Shinyribs at Gruene Hall

Gruene Hall presents Shinyribs on Wednesday, November 25. Doors open at 7 p.m., with Scott Strickland taking the stage at 8 p.m. and Shinyribs at 9 p.m. General admission is $36.50, including a $6.50 service fee.

Led by Austin singer-songwriter Kevin Russell, Shinyribs blends East Texas blues, Louisiana swamp rhythm, honky-tonk, Oklahoma swing, Cajun music and Arkansas jazz. The band’s current lineup brings together Russell’s songwriting and distinctive vocals with a dynamic ensemble featuring drums, bass, backing vocals, piano, guitar and pedal steel. The performance combines heartfelt stories of family, loss, grief and love with the playful energy and humor that have become hallmarks of a Shinyribs show.
