The Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre Presents: Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys under the direction of Jason Roberts

Western swing comes alive at the Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre on September 24 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm with Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys under the direction of Jason Roberts. Sponsored by Fischer’s Neighborhood Markets, the performance celebrates the legendary Texas music tradition that began with Bob Wills in 1933.

Hand-selected by the Wills estate, the current lineup features top swing musicians from Texas and Oklahoma performing the lively blend of country, jazz, swing, and dancehall music that made the Texas Playboys famous. Audiences can expect a vibrant evening filled with classic Western swing sounds, energetic musicianship, and timeless favorites that continue to introduce new generations to the genre.
