The Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre Presents: Kathy Mattea

Award-winning singer-songwriter Kathy Mattea performs live at the Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre on October 1 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Sponsored by Terry’s Cleaning Services, the concert brings one of Americana and country music’s most respected voices to downtown New Braunfels.

With a career spanning more than 35 years, Mattea has earned two Grammy Awards and four CMA Awards while building a reputation for blending country, bluegrass, and folk influences with heartfelt storytelling and emotional performances. Recently named host of Mountain Stage on NPR, she continues to connect audiences through thoughtful interpretations of songs and deeply personal performances.

Her latest project, Pretty Bird, highlights a renewed focus on vocal artistry and a strong connection to her Appalachian and folk roots, offering audiences a soulful and eclectic live music experience.
