Tween Tuesday – National Poetry Month Edition at New Braunfels Public Library

Tween Tuesday – National Poetry Month Edition offers a creative program designed especially for kids ages 8 to 12. Taking place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 4 pm to 5 pm, this session focuses on blackout poetry, where participants transform existing text into unique poetic works by selectively highlighting words.

Tweens will have the opportunity to create their own poetry and may choose to submit their work to the library’s poetry contest, adding an extra layer of creativity and engagement to the experience.

Registration for this program opens at 4 pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The event will be held in the Main Library Meeting Room at the New Braunfels Public Library (Main Branch), 700 E Common St, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Admission is free.
