Wassailfest 2025 at Main Plaza

Wassailfest returns to downtown New Braunfels for one of the community’s most beloved holiday traditions. This festive evening brings together families, friends, and visitors to enjoy free wassail tastings, sparkling holiday lights, and live music performed by local school choirs. Businesses, nonprofits, and organizations throughout downtown serve their own unique wassail recipes—ranging from traditional warm, spiced apple blends to creative twists featuring cranberry, orange, and seasonal spices. Both “leaded” (with alcohol) and “unleaded” versions will be available, making it a fun experience for all ages.

Wassailfest 2025 will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Main Plaza, 500 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Admission is free. Guests can enjoy food and drinks sold by local vendors throughout the event and explore dozens of wassail stops offering complimentary samples.

Free shuttles will run from 5 pm to 11 pm between New Braunfels City Hall at 550 Landa Street and the event area. Visitors parking downtown can refer to the Downtown Parking Map for available spaces. Several streets around the plaza will be closed from 4 pm to 11 pm for the event.

Wassail tasting mugs are available for purchase through the New Braunfels Downtown Association’s website, though they are not required for sampling. Local businesses, nonprofits, and organizations interested in becoming a Wassail Stop may sign up online.
