Help Beautify Downtown New Braunfels!

The City of New Braunfels is calling on local artists to help bring creativity to downtown streetscapes through the Traffic Signal Box Art Program. Selected artists will have their designs digitally printed on UV-protected vinyl and wrapped around traffic signal boxes, adding vibrancy, community pride, and a sense of identity to the city’s busiest areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for artists to showcase their work in a high-visibility location while contributing to New Braunfels’ growing public art scene. Submissions are now open, so if you or someone you know is interested, be sure to submit a design today!

One of the Best Libraries in Texas—10 Years Running!
The New Braunfels Public Library has once again been recognized as a top-performing library, receiving the 2024 Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association.
Out of 542 public libraries in Texas, only 102 received this prestigious award, placing NBPL in the top 20% of libraries statewide.
This is the 10th consecutive year the library has received the honor, recognizing its commitment to education, outreach, and workforce literacy programs.

🚗 NEW BRAUNFELS ADDS PAID PARKING AHEAD OF TUBING SEASON
Downtown & River Areas Will See More Parking Enforcement
As tubing season approaches, New Braunfels is taking big steps to improve parking enforcement. The City Council recently approved a contract with Interstate Parking Company to manage downtown and river-area parking.
Here’s what you need to know:
Paid parking enforcement begins May 1 🚨
Parking ambassadors will be on-site to help answer questions
The first hour of downtown parking will be free
Enforcement will expand to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week
This new system is not meant to generate revenue through citations—officials say it’s about keeping traffic flowing and preparing for future parking solutions, including a possible parking structure.
📅 Implementation Begins: March 1 (education period)
🚦 Paid Parking Enforcement Starts: May 1
