🚫 NEW FENCE INSTALLED AT FAUST STREET BRIDGE TO DETER TRESPASSERS

City officials crack down on illegal river access ahead of tubing season

With tubing season heating up, New Braunfels has officially installed a metal, sharp-tipped fence near the Faust Street Bridge to stop ongoing trespassing and public safety issues.

The area beneath the bridge had become a hot spot for unauthorized river access, dangerous jumps, and littering.

The City made it clear: this is not a public park, and much of the land isn't city property. The bridge remains open to pedestrians, but access to the river from this point is now strictly off-limits.

Instead, locals and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the river responsibly from designated parks like Prince Solms and Cypress Bend.

DID YOU KNOW?

According to the Texas State Law Library, milking someone else’s cow is still illegal in Texas. It was originally written into the Penal Code way back in 1866 and—while the exact law was removed in 1973—it now falls under theft of personal property. So if you were thinking of sneaking some milk, best think twice!
