An Egg Hunt… After Dark?!
The annual Spring Block Party & Flashlight Egg Hunt is back on Saturday, April 5, at Cypress Bend Park—and it’s not your average egg hunt.
This nighttime twist invites kids to bring their flashlights and search for glowing eggs after the sun goes down. There will be treats, games, and a visit from a special guest. Pre-registration is required, and no on-site sign-ups will be allowed. The fun starts at 7:45 pm!

Pop Culture, Cosplay, Celebrities & More!
Get ready, comic fans—Hill Country Comicon is taking over the New Braunfels Civic & Convention Center this weekend, April 5–6!
Celebrate all things fandom with celebrity guests like Barry Williams, Susan Olsen, and Dragon Ball voice actors Stephanie Nadolny and Josh Martin. There’ll be cosplayers, artists, vendors, and activities for every age and interest.
Whether you're into anime, comics, sci-fi, or just love a good costume—this event is packed with energy, imagination, and fun.
Tickets are available at HillCountryComicon.com.

New Braunfels’ quirkiest and most beloved river tradition returns on Saturday, April 26—Thru the Chute, the all-cardboard boat race where teams launch their handmade vessels through the City Tube Chute.
Some boats sail, others sink—but the fun is guaranteed either way. It’s free to watch, with parking available at Prince Solms Park and surrounding public lots. The first launch starts at 10 am.
