Wine, live music, family fun, and more are taking over downtown this Saturday
The City of New Braunfels' signature downtown festival is back! Saengerfest celebrates its 22nd year this Saturday, May 3rd, from 12 pm to 10 pm in historic downtown New Braunfels. Residents and visitors can enjoy live music across two stages, wine and craft beer tastings, street merchants, family-friendly activities, and plenty of food from local trucks and restaurants.
Headliners on the Main Stage include The Tiffiny Dawn Band, The Damn Torpedos (Tom Petty Tribute), The Reed Brothers, Two Tons of Steel, and Cory Morrow. A second stage will feature local acoustic performances throughout the day.
This free, family-friendly festival also features a kids' area, an artisan market, and the return of the Hinterhof (backyard) stage experience. Wine tastings, craft beers, and souvenir glasses will be available for purchase—with proceeds supporting downtown enhancement projects. Free shuttle parking will run from New Braunfels City Hall throughout the day.

DID YOU KNOW?
The first Texas Sangerfest (singers festival) was held on October 17, 1853, at Hermann Seele’s farm along the Guadalupe River. Music traditions were passed down through generations, blending old German songs with new English ones. Just a few years later, in 1857, Seele also founded the Kindermasken Ball and Parade—the oldest children's festival and parade in the country, which is still celebrated every spring in New Braunfels!
