Here’s What’s Going On Around Town

Here are some of the events we’re most excited about:

Preserving Culture Through Dance
For nearly 50 years, Kinder Tänzer has been keeping the spirit of German dance alive in New Braunfels.
If you've attended Wurstfest, you've likely seen these young dancers, dressed in traditional Lederhosen and Dirndls, clapping, stomping, and weaving in and out of intricate formations.
Once a thriving program with nearly 100 dancers, participation has declined in recent years. However, new director Cullen Ricks is working to reignite interest in the program and expand its reach to more NBISD students.
Kinder Tänzer is open to all children from Pre-K to 12th grade and performs at events like Wurstfest and the Comal County Fair.
While the group is deeply rooted in German heritage, it welcomes dancers from all backgrounds, ensuring that this long-standing tradition remains a vibrant part of the community for generations to come.
