Juneteenth Celebrations at Westside Community Center

Celebrate freedom, culture, and community at the Juneteenth Celebrations hosted at the Westside Community Center in New Braunfels. This family-friendly event honors the significance of Juneteenth with a vibrant mix of music, crafts, storytelling, and community engagement.

Festivities kick off at 10 am on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with opening remarks by Bishop Michael Franklin. Guests can enjoy live music from the Dirty River Jazz Band, free snow cones, hands-on crafts and activities in the gym, and community engagement with local organizations including the Tri-County Panhellenic Council. Storytimes will be held in the library at 11 am and 12 pm, offering enriching experiences for children and families.

This free event is organized in partnership with the New Braunfels Martin Luther King, Jr. Association and is open to all who wish to celebrate unity, freedom, and heritage.
