Free Summer Meal Programs Available for Kids in New Braunfels

With school out for the summer, several organizations across New Braunfels are stepping up to help ensure local children continue to have access to healthy meals.

Through a combination of school district and community programs, free breakfasts and lunches will be available at multiple locations throughout the city this summer for children ages 18 and younger. Here’s a look at where families can find meals during the break.

New Braunfels ISD Summer Meals

New Braunfels ISD will once again provide free breakfasts and lunches for children ages 18 and younger at several campuses and community locations throughout the summer.

Landa Haus

May 26 – August 7, 2026
Monday – Friday
(Closed June 19 and July 3)

Breakfast: 7:00 am – 8:00 am
Lunch: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Voss Farms Elementary

May 27 – July 31, 2026
Monday – Friday
(Closed July 3)

Breakfast: 7:15 am – 8:00 am
Lunch: 11:15 am – 12:30 pm

New Braunfels High School

June 1 – June 25, 2026
Monday – Thursday

Breakfast: 7:30 am – 8:30 am
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Long Creek High School

June 1 – June 18, 2026
Monday – Thursday

Breakfast: 8:15 am – 8:45 am

To help families access meal sites, students may use Ride the Rio transportation services at a discounted rate of $2.

Free Summer Lunches at the Library & Westside Community Center

The Westside Community Center, in partnership with the New Braunfels Food Bank and San Antonio Food Bank, is once again offering free lunches for children throughout the summer.

Lunches will be available from June 2 through August 8 at both the Main Library Branch and the Westside Branch.
