For seven years now, an unassuming house on Myrtle Run Road has been giving New Braunfels residents quite the show. Each October, Ray Jones transforms his home into Myrtle Manor: an extravagant drive-thru display of lights, frights, and Halloween delight.
Located at 6303 Myrtle Run Road, this “spooktacular” attraction features larger-than-life decorations, haunted scenes, and even real-life monsters who fill the street with Halloween magic for every passing car.
On Thursday, October 30th, Myrtle Manor will host its final show of the season. The event draws as many as 1,500 cars in a single night, but Ray says the line moves quickly. The haunting starts at “dark-thirty”, around 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. when the road comes alive with monsters and mayhem and will run into about 11 p.m.

Perfect for families who don’t want to wait hours for a haunted house, this unique experience lets visitors enjoy the scares from the comfort of their car. Guests are also welcome to park for photos at the spooky backdrop or snap a selfie with one of the many costumed actors.
Ray says Myrtle Manor is designed for visitors of all ages. He and his crew know how to turn up the fear for brave teens, or tone it down for younger kids who might be a little spooked. “If the littles get nervous, we lift our masks and show them it’s all in good fun,” he says. Each visit is a little different- sometimes a monster might even lend a prop for a photo op full of smiles.
“We want everyone to have a pleasant experience,” Ray says. “With so many actors, you’ll never see the same show twice.”
Whether you’re a returning fan or a first-time visitor, Myrtle Manor is a must-see addition to your fall bucket list.

And if you’re looking for the perfect Halloween photo backdrop, don’t miss their massive pumpkin arch- a centerpiece for photos and videos with the friendly monsters, who are always happy to pose.
Once Halloween wraps up, Ray and his team don’t stop there. Myrtle Manor transforms into a Winter Wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, cozy décor, and even the Grinch, who appears on weekends for photos. “The Grinch is my favorite character,” Ray says proudly. “I love giving kids a Grinchmas they’ll remember.”
In past years, Myrtle Manor has even hosted professional photo sessions in its festive winter corner.
Best of all, Myrtle Manor is free for families of all ages. Donations are appreciated but never required.
From Halloween through Christmas, Ray Jones takes pride in spreading seasonal cheer and keeping New Braunfels’ holiday traditions alive- one monster, and one Grinch, at a time.
