New Year’s Eve Celebrations in New Braunfels
For families looking to celebrate with kids without a late night, there are a couple of great daytime options.
McKenna Children’s Museum is hosting a Noon Year’s Party at 11:45 am on Wednesday, December 31. The celebration includes music, crafts, and treats, and it’s all included with regular museum admission while supplies last. It’s a fun, relaxed way for younger kids to mark the occasion.
The New Braunfels Public Library’s Westside Branch & Community Center are hosting Winterbash & New Year’s Noon starting at 10:00 am. Families can enjoy winter games in the gym followed by a kid-friendly dance party and a noon countdown. It’s designed to be safe, convenient, and festive for all ages. The library has also noted that all New Braunfels Public Library locations will close early on New Year’s Eve and remain closed on New Year’s Day.
As the sun goes down, New Braunfels shifts into full celebration mode.
The Courthouse is hosting a New Year’s Eve Glow Party from 8 pm to midnight. This adults-only, 21+ event includes glow-in-the-dark paint, fog machines, strobe lights, a DJ, and a ball drop on the big screen.
Happy Cow Bar & Grill will have a fireworks display in their parking lot that kicks off at 10 pm. This is also a 21-and-up event.
At Gruene Hall, Pat Green headlines New Year’s Eve with two shows. An early show begins with doors at 5 pm, followed by a New Year’s Countdown Show later in the evening. Walt Wilkins opens both performances, making this one of the biggest live music events of the night.
Freiheit Country Store hosts a New Year’s Eve Party with Mario Flores & the Soda Creek Band starting at 8:30 pm. General admission is free, with tables available for purchase inside the dance hall.
Cowboys & Cadillacs will ring in the new year on the rooftop with David Russell and Soul Sessions. Premium tickets include light appetizers, a champagne toast, and reserved seating on the El Dorado deck, while general admission tickets are also available.
Faust Brewing Co. is hosting one final laid-back New Year’s Eve in the tasting room from 6 pm to midnight, complete with drink specials and champagne toasts at both 10 pm and midnight.
The Phoenix Saloon is welcoming 2026 with a New Year’s Eve Karaoke Party featuring karaoke all night, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight. It’s a high-energy option for anyone who wants to sing their way into the new year.
Wildside kicks off its New Year’s Eve Party at 6 pm with live music or DJs, drink specials, party favors, and a midnight champagne toast in a festive downtown setting.
VFW Post 7110 is hosting a free New Year’s Eve Dance starting at 7 pm at 600 Peace Ave. The event is open to everyone and offers music, dancing, and a welcoming atmosphere to celebrate together without an admission fee.
The Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar is also getting an early start with a Pre-New Year’s Eve Party beginning at 6 pm in the beer garden. It’s a good stop for dinner, drinks, or warming up before heading to a later event in Gruene.
