Construction is officially underway on a new Sprouts Farmers Market at Creekside Town Center, bringing a fresh grocery option to New Braunfels. Better late than never, right?
Known for its farm-fresh produce and healthy living focus, Sprouts will give residents an alternative to the Hill Country staple H-E-B. This marks an exciting addition for locals who’ve been asking for more organic and natural grocery options without having to travel to San Antonio or Austin.
Located at 275 Creekside Crossing, the new Sprouts will span around 23,434 square feet and will be within walking distance of Creekside’s multifamily housing, dining, shopping, and entertainment hubs.
The store is part of the development’s Phase II expansion, with NewQuest Properties leading the project and GLR Inc. serving as the general contractor.
Originally, the project was slated for completion in early 2025, but after some delays, the opening is now anticipated for early 2026.
The development cost is estimated at about $2.3 million, and once finished, it will be the first grocery store within Creekside’s 400-acre footprint — a major milestone for the rapidly growing area.

Sprouts Farmers Market has built its reputation on offering a true farmers market experience under one roof. The company opened its first store in 2002 with a goal of making natural foods accessible to everyone, not just an elite few.
In a grocery landscape dominated by processed foods, Sprouts set itself apart by focusing on clean ingredients, affordable organic produce, and friendly service.
Today, the brand has more than 380 locations nationwide, but the New Braunfels store will be particularly welcome given that the nearest Sprouts is currently about 35 miles away. For many Hill Country residents, it’ll be the first time a Sprouts is close to home.
The addition of Sprouts is just part of the larger momentum at Creekside Town Center, which now boasts over one million square feet of built space, with room for an additional 100,000 square feet of future development. The center is already buzzing with 99% occupancy and is continuing to grow with major new projects like Topgolf and EoS Fitness, which will be located near EVO Entertainment.
Creekside is increasingly becoming a true live-work-play destination, offering a blend of lifestyle, recreation, and retail opportunities that reflect the evolving needs of the New Braunfels community.
For a town that has seen explosive growth over the past decade, the arrival of Sprouts is yet another sign that New Braunfels is maturing into a place where residents expect — and can now access — more diverse and health-conscious amenities.
