It’s a great opportunity to relax, work on your projects, and connect with the local crafting community. Maybe you could even craft a holiday gift for a loved one!

Join SJRC and Parents as Teachers on Saturday, November 15, at 10:00 am, for a garden-themed story time with hands-on activities and a visit to the community garden! There will be snacks and a raffle provided by SJRC.
9. Visit Fischer Park
Go for a walk on their paved trails, enjoy a meal under the awnings, or take a walk down the pier. Fall is the best time to see the changing scenery and get some gorgeous family photos.
10. Shop Local at Old Gruene Market Days
Get your holiday shopping started early in the Historic Gruene District. On the third weekend of each month, November 15 and 16, this November, and the first weekend of December, “Nearly 100 artisans are featured, selling handmade items, including uniquely crafted goods and packaged Texas foods. 11. Write Letters to Santa
Enjoy this project from the comfort of your own home. Gather the kids and write letters to Santa this fall so his elves can get started working on those Christmas Toys! Make sure to remind him that you’re on the nice list this year. 12. Take a Clay Class at Clay Casa
Every other Thursday, Clay Casa holds an adult clay class, and on November 20 at 6:00 pm, you can create your own Christmas Mug! The cost is $45 per person, and that includes clay, tools, and paint. You really get two projects for the price of one, since you leave the projects with them to fire, and then come back to paint them!
13. Horror Fans Rejoice at the Stephen King Book to Movie Club
Grab a copy of Cujo from your local library and get ready to discuss the book and view the movie at the Main Library Branch! The book club discussion will take place on November 13 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, and the movie viewing will be on November 20, from 5:00 to 7:45 pm. 14. Grab a photo with Cowboy Kringle in Gruene
Round up the family, including pets, for a photo with Gruene’s famous Cowboy Kringle to start Christmas right! Each weekend beginning November 8, appointments for photos will be available. 15. Visit the Downtown Lighting and Welcome Santa

On November 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, watch downtown New Bruanfles light up with the holiday spirit and welcome Santa from his arrival all the way from the North Pole! Mayor Neal Linnartz will address the crowd at the Main Plaza at 6:30 pm., where he will count down and flip the switch, turning on the dazzling display of lights downtown. After the lights are on, Santa Claus is scheduled to make his appearance to kick off the holiday season! Free photos with Santa will start at 6:30 pm near the Comal County Courthouse and end at 8:30 pm.
