Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country has always been known for mixing outdoor adventure with modern comforts, and in 2025, it’s doubling down on both.
Already one of the most popular RV resorts in the country—ranked #5 on USA TODAY’s 2025 list of top campgrounds in the U.S.—this New Braunfels destination is raising the bar with a slate of bold new attractions, enhancements, and amenities aimed at making every stay unforgettable.
Among the biggest additions this year is Hilltop Hideaway, a brand-new resort-style pool area that opened in March. Situated high above the rest of the campground, it features a spacious four-tiered pool deck with panoramic views of the Hill Country, private cabana rentals, spa tubs, and a swim-up bar for adults looking to unwind.

Guests can also enjoy a fast-service bar and grill on-site, making this scenic hangout spot ideal for lounging poolside, grabbing a bite between activities, or soaking in a sunset with a drink in hand.
For thrill seekers, the long-awaited Guadalupe Glider zipline opens Memorial Day Weekend, and it’s something you’ll want to check out.
Spanning 1,540 feet with a dramatic 130-foot elevation change, the ride offers four parallel lines that send guests soaring over the Guadalupe River at speeds of up to 40 mph. The experience ends with a walk across a suspension bridge, adding a final rush of adrenaline to one of the resort’s most ambitious attractions yet.
Like Camp Fimfo’s popular Cliff Carver alpine coaster, the zipline is open to both overnight guests and day visitors through Fimfo Adventures.
Camp Fimfo’s playful spirit carries over into the campground’s themed programming, which is expanding in a big way for 2025.
With nearly 30 themes planned throughout the season, guests can look forward to fan favorites like “Water Wars” and “Keepin’ It Reel,” alongside new ideas like “Off to the Races” and “S’more Encounters.”
Each theme brings its own schedule of daily activities, special food and drink menus, and family-friendly events designed to keep campers of all ages entertained from sunup to sundown.
That sense of fun is also showing up in smaller, creative touches around the resort.
A brand-new ropes course, added in late summer 2024, gives guests the chance to climb, balance, and swing their way through a hilltop challenge area.
Over near the river and playground, a bubble station has popped up—literally—offering a whimsical experience for kids (and kids-at-heart).
And of course, Camp Fimfo recently made our list of the best splash pads in New Braunfels as it features an interactive water playground with splash elements, kiddie slides, water hoops, and a giant hydrostorm bucket.
There’s also a refreshed ice cream window at The Filling Station, serving up a variety of cool treats perfect for a hot Texas afternoon.
And for those early mornings before the adventures begin, guests can now swing by the Bandit Coffee wagon for fresh espresso drinks and pastries just steps from their cabin or RV.
Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country stretches across 450 acres along the Guadalupe River and near Canyon Lake, offering a blend of classic camping and high-end resort amenities.
The property features full hook-up RV sites, custom-designed cabins, and glamping options for every style of guest. Its mix of nature, nostalgia, and new experiences has earned it national acclaim, including past honors like the Campers’ Choice Award for Best Waterfront Campground.
As the 2025 season kicks off, Camp Fimfo is once again reminding everyone why it’s one of the Hill Country’s most exciting places to stay or even visit with a day pass.
Whether you’re ziplining above the river, floating in the new hilltop pool, or chasing bubbles with your kids, there’s no shortage of ways to make memories here.
Reservations are open now for summer stays and day passes are also available, but with these upgrades already making waves, spots are sure to fill up fast.
