Get ready, New Braunfels dog lovers, because one of the most tail-wagging events of the year is splashing back into town this weekend! Doggie Dip Day is set for Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Springfed Pool in Landa Park, and it’s one of the rare times the pool officially belongs to the pups.
At this popular event, dozens of water-loving dogs and their humans take part in this beloved tradition, where four-legged friends get the chance to run, swim, and play in the cool spring-fed waters of Landa Park.
It’s leash-free fun from the moment they enter the facility, giving pups the freedom to splash, paddle, and socialize while their owners enjoy the unique scene of the pool gone to the dogs.
Here are the event details:
- Date: Sunday, September 7, 2025
- Time: 12 pm – 4 pm
- Location: Aquatic Complex Springfed Pool, Landa Park
- Tickets: $8 per human guest (limit 2 dogs per ticket). Tickets may be purchased in advance online, with limited availability at the gate.
Owners must bring proof of current rabies vaccination for each dog, and pups must wear a swim-safe collar.
Each owner can bring up to two dogs, and all guests are required to stay with their pets at all times and clean up after them.
Doggie Dip Day has become one of New Braunfels’ favorite pet-friendly events, drawing families, dog groups, and visitors from around the region. It’s not only a fun way to close out the summer but also a safe, welcoming environment where the community can come together and celebrate their love of dogs.
Whether you’ve got a playful puppy, a seasoned swimmer, or a dog that’s just curious to try something new, this is a chance to make memories you won’t forget. Just be prepared to get a little wet, it’s all part of the fun!
Online registration ends Saturday, September 6, but tickets will also be available at the gate on the day of the event (if not sold out). Don’t miss this once-a-year opportunity to let your furry friend take the plunge!
I want to thank the city of New Braunfels for continuing this tradition. I am especially greatful that they allow non-New Braunfels residents to participate. My dogs love Landa Park, and I think my young dog will really enjoy the experience.
